Madeleine Kerzner returned to her rock gospel roots with the release of her latest single, titled ‘Rest‘. Madeleine, who is a pastor, preacher, Hebraic roots teacher and radio presenter told us, “It’s my prayer that people will be refreshed and uplifted by this song and that it will give them hope in the faithfulness of God. For truly there is a REST to the people of God.”
Growing up in a multi-cultural area, Madeleine was surrounded by music and by the age of 16 she joined a band as a singer/songwriter. She moved to Manhattan, New York in the late 80s due to signing a 5-year management deal to record and music with Steve Stevens (Billy Idol’s Guitarist) as her producer. Madeleine did not get to release any of the music she recorded because she embraced the rock and roll lifestyle and became addicted to drugs and alcohol. The excitement of a career in music disappeared as the lifestyle took over.
Madeleine eventually moved back to London and in 1991 she accidentally walked into a church meeting and noted that there was a great sense of peace in the room. She recalled. “I heard a beautiful voice say to me, “Madeleine, I AM who I said I AM.” It’s difficult to explain, but I just knew it was Jesus our Messiah. Next, a tremendous realisation of the sin in my life came over me and, moments later, I received Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I was 27 years old and this was the most amazing day of my life.”
Her church was from Zimbabwe and coming into full-time ministry after two years, she was sent to Manchester. In the late 90s, she went on to live and minister in Johannesburg South Africa for 2 years. Madeleine then went to Zimbabwe for a year during which she travelled across Botswana, Namibia, Zambia as a full-time minister and worship leader singing in many languages in open-air outreaches and local conventions. Coming back to Manchester she was ordained Pastor and then eventually came back to London to look after her mother. Over the last 12 years, Madeleine has worked as part of the core team of Kingdom Worship Movement with Noel Robinson where they travelled across the nation with 3-4 conferences a year in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol. She also has been a radio presenter on Premier Gospel since 2013 with her show SINGOUT and is now also an affiliated pastor at a Church in London. Madeleine hosts weekly Friday online meetings through her ministry Nation 2 Nation – unblocking the Hebraic Wells.
